Solution-focused therapy is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on a person’s present and future circumstances rather than their past experiences. In this goal-orientated therapy, patients are encouraged to develop a vision of their future instead of targeting the symptoms or issues that may bring a person into therapy.

During sessions, patients are encouraged to make changes and move forward with their desired vision of one’s future. We strive to help patients identify and develop their strengths and tools necessary to make the change.

In therapy, we attempt to guide patients to see what is working for them and how to acknowledge and celebrate their steps toward success. By finding solutions to their problems, the patient can spend less time in therapy and more time moving to their desired future.

Treatment is typically short-term, and we offer sessions for individuals, couples, and families.
